DUCK, COOT, MERGANSER: November 23 & 24 and December 1, 2007 - January 27, 2008

Bag Limits - Duck: 6 ducks a day and may include no more than 4 Mallards (no more than 2 of which may be females). 2 Wood Ducks, 3 Mottled ducks, 1 Black Duck, 2 Redhead, 1 Pintail, 2 Canvasback and 2 scaup. The possession limit is twice the daily bag limit.

Merganser: 5 a day, only 2 may be a hooded merganser. The possession limit is twice the daily bag limit.

Coot: 15 a day - 30 in possession

Shooting Hours -- One-half hour before Sunrise to Sunset.

GEESE:

Southern James Bay Population (SJBP) Zone - that portion of  Limestone County south of U. S. Hwy 72; that portion of Morgan County east of U.S. Hwy 31, north of State Hwy. 36, and west of U. S. Hwy 231; and that portion of Madison County south of  Swancott Road and west of Triana Road. December 09, 2007 - January 27, 2008

Remainder of State: All Geese: September 29 - October 10, 2007 and December 1, 2007 - January 27, 2008

Bag Limits: 5 a day - 5 in possession
The daily bag limit of 5 shall not include more than 2 Canada geese or
2 white-fronted geese. The possession limit of 5 shall include no more
than 4 Canada geese and white-fronted geese in aggregate.

Shooting Hours -- One-half hour before Sunrise to Sunset.

SPECIAL YOUTH WATERFOWL HUNTING DAYS: February 09 - 10, 2008

Same shooting hours, bag limits, and legal arms and ammunitions apply as did in regular waterfowl season.

State & Federal Ducks Stamps are required when hunting migratory waterfowl. All licensed hunters are also required to have a Harvest Information Program Permit.
